1st anniversary!!

Can't believe it's already been a year.

24 October 2025

Wow, it's already been a year, huh... So many things happened this time, and it was fun!

For this anniversary I thought I'd do a few things~
Maybe you already noticed it, but I thought that I should finally update the site colors a bit. The pink colors were from when I first started working on this site (before Sophia even existed) and didn't have any idea on how it should look. But now with Sophia being the site mascot, I think purple fits much better, and I hope that I still kept the cute aesthetic~. Also the sidebar and other decorations should look less blurry now, since they're now at a higher resolution~ (Some pages may look weird now, but reloading them should fix it ^w^)

I also finally updated my button! Look how cute it is!!!!

very cute button

I really love how cute the animation looks, and I was surprised that I could actually make something so cute~ (I really was shocked at how cute it is when I first hit on play animation after drawing a few frames)
The ear twitch was inspired by this very cute Art Fight attack I got from SunSolsticeSquirrel! (you need to be logged in on Art Fight to see it)

It's great with how many people I interacted here, and I'm really grateful for it. I'm also really happy for all the artwork I received!! I never had people do art for me, and I never thought anyone would actually do it, but it's always been a nice surprise. And drawing other characters and making other people happy is also very fun!
I also really got into drawing thanks to having this site, and I think my art improved a bit? (Though perspectives still scare me >_<)
Even if my art style is kinda basic, I still find it cute, and I like creating cute things myself (My biggest weakness probably are cute things)

I'd love to meet more people and also be friends with more people, but I'm a bit too shy and socially awkward for that >.< Both are a problem for me (even if people want to tell me being shy is not), and while I guess it has gotten better over the last year, it's still a huge issue for me, and makes me miss out on many things...

One thing I really like about the indie web is that I don't feel like I have to hide myself, which sadly is something I still do IRL. Like I could never show my Obsidian setup IRL (though my Todoist setup looks even "worse", maybe I'll share it online one day), or my music taste (I always say I listen to "all kinds of music" when someone IRL asks me, and keep it at that), or even my hobbies, but here it's completely fine and even normal.
I like working on my cute site, kinda like if it was a garden, but digital and for the whole world to see. It's something I never felt from social media. I always wanted to have a site myself (I remember even making one as a child with a free site builder on my Wii U, weird story I know, thankfully the site doesn't exist anymore), but I never knew what to put on my site, until I learned about the indie web and personal sites, and I then made one from scratch. And then I created Sophia, originally for a different story, but now she has kinda become the mascot of the site. And it has been fun ever since then!!

I'm really thankful being part of this community, and I still have plans for this site!! I want to continue making this site very cute and comfy and nice to enjoy!

So thank you for reading this, and we'll hopefully see us again next year!! Hopefully this site will be an even better place then!
