A “young man” gets greated by a mysterious fox-like creature. They tell her that she can become a girl and a witch. After making a pact with the creature, she wakes up as a foxgirl, and gives herself the name Sophia and the magical creature the name Foxy.
Chapter 2
Welcome to Sternenwald

After Sophia has calmed down a bit, Foxy continues:
Sophia hesitates a bit, but then confirms:
Next up, we’ll travel to the academy. For that, we’ll use some special water traveling magic, which will also be the first magic you’ll learn!!
But first we’ll need to go the park.
Are you ready to leave this place?
I mean, I was never really attached to it in the first place.
And I don’t think I’d feel homesick or anything.
I mean, I don’t even know my neighbors here, so no point in that.
With that, Sophia gets ready and locks the door to her apartment for the last time.
She didn’t bring any belongings to her, since she didn’t feel like she had anything important there. She also didn’t bring any clothes with her, since her old ones probably wouldn’t fit her anymore. And she also never liked them.
On their way to the park, Sophia asks Foxy more about the academy. Apparently the academy is on a remote island called Sternenwald, but Foxy didn’t know exactly where it was. It’s a place where hundreds of witches from around the world go and learn magic with their own familiars.
Once they arrive at the park, which was just a few minutes away, they stop in front of a large fountain.
With it, you can travel wherever you want that’s connected with water.
It just has to be night and the water has to reflect the sky.
Are you ready to give it a try~?
With much excitement, Sophia answers
Alright, all you just have to do is hold your hand over the water and think of the place you want to travel to.
Since you haven’t visited the academy yet, just think of me, okay~?
Then you say in a cute voice “Sternlicht, open a portal to that place~”
Also maybe you think that spell sounds boring, but once you’re better with magic you could make a cuter version of this spell.
But try this one first.
Sophia takes a breath, then holds her hand over the water and speaks in a soft, cute voice:
As she says that, sparks that look like small stars appear out of her hand.
After she casts that spell, there are way more stars visible on the water.
Now just close your eyes and jump in, and you’ll be there~ ☆
Sophia feels a bit nervous, but she holds Foxy close to her chest and then jumps into the water.
When she opens her eyes, she gets speechless…
Both of them are standing on a traditional marketplace, next to a very pretty fountain, which has many little stars engraved on it. There are also smaller shops on that marketplace, which are run by other Sternchen.
But what’s perhaps the most amazing is the very beautiful night sky.
And on the left you see your new home~.
The magic academy almost looks like a big, fantasy-like castle, and Sophia finds it very beautiful. Even in the night it’s very well-lit. The dorms, Sophia’s new home, look a bit medieval-like, but also have a magical feeling to them. Almost like out of a fairy tale.
Sophia is still taking everything in. She has never seen something so magical, something so great before. After a while, Sophia responds:
The dorms are just two minutes away by foot. In front of the dorms is a smaller group of witches, who probably also arrived here today, but Sophia is too shy to approach them, which she later overthinks and regrets, a bad habit she still has…
On their way to her room, Sophia is nervous on who her roommate could be, but once she opens the door, she kinda gets disappointed.
Wait I’m alone?
I forgot to tell you about this, but here in Sternenwald we have a system that may be different from what you know!
Every witch starts out in a single room.
Then they can choose to live with other people together, and they’d then get a bigger room too!
Sophia almost laughs when she hears that. Though she’s still a bit disappointed that she doesn’t have a room partner, since that’s something she always dreamed about.
Sophia starts looking a bit more into her room, and then sits on a chair on her desk. The chair has a big star cut out on the top.

But I think your clothes are quite comfy, so it should be fine if you sleep in them.

Sophia lays down on her bed while Foxy turns out the light.
She tries to fall asleep, but being anxious about tomorrow, and sleeping in a new room, something she always struggled with, makes it harder for her.
Foxy doesn’t want to interrupt her, so they just sit on a table next to the bed.
