I love Maho Girls Precure!

Contains spoilers for Maho Girls Precure, the movie & Mirai Days.

Hello~! ☆ I thought it'd be nice to write about Maho Girls / Witchy Precure, since it was quite a nice anime.

This was my 2nd Precure, and I primarily decided to watch it since I saw the sequel (Mirai Days) was airing in a few months. And the fact that it was about magic. Because I love witches! (The young anime type) I don't know why I love witches, but they're so cool and cute (especially the ones with hats that are way too big). And it just feels like they live in such an interesting world with magic. And I guess I also always wished to be a witch if they were real.

And I guess I'm quite similar to Mirai here, who also always wanted to be a witch. And it must've felt special to her when she saw a witch flying through the air at night on a broom (I'd also really love to do that - It just sounds and looks really amazing).

And then she finds Liko, and her dream of meeting a witch becomes real. And then she also becomes a Precure! And her dear plushie also starts to speak!! At first I didn't like Moforun, since she was a bit...useless? Like I didn't really understand why she was there. But later on I felt in love with her, like the other characters in that show. (They're all great) Even the villains (the first ones that didn't want to destroy the whole universe) are later on really nice.
Or seeing all the different regions and species in the magical world is also amazing! Like for example the mermaids, they're also so cool!

But also the team Mirai & Liko is great. There's a reason why Maho Girls Precure is called the "Yuri Precure". And it was also interesting how they played the role of mothers for Haa-chan. Haa-chan is also a character I liked, though for some reason I didn't like her that much as Cure Felice? Like somehow I found her transformation and the animation of her "superpower" to be a bit "too much"? I don't really know how to describe it. Though overall I liked the whole team and how close they were.

And it was also emotional at the end. Like why do you want to separate this great team? It's just a really cruel thing to do. Thankfully they eventually did find together, but it took many years for them, maybe too many. Like did they really need to spend so much time growing without them?

The movie was also great, and I really liked how Moforun also became a Precure! That was surprising and nice. And it was also nice to see how the magic world has such a festival (like I said earlier, the magic world and witches in general do fascinate me).

And then there was Mirai Days, and I guess the premise wasn't really for me? What I mean is that the message of Mirai Days was basically "Stop looking at the past and instead look in the future". And I think that's true, and also an important reminder in current times, where the future might look bad. But I'm in a situation where I'm like "it can't get worse", and I also don't really have fond memories of the past, so that's why I have more hopes for the future. So I didn't really need that reminder. But I still found the season, even though it was a bit shorter, to be great.

But what I did like about Mirai Days was the "Maho Girl" Mirai, who used her powers to help the people <3.

Though I also found it sad how this time they, again, got separated... (why can't they just live together happily?)

What I also found great about the show is how villains like Yamo (the one who was the second hand from the first villains) are now friendly teachers. Or how Chikurun (the bee), who was a spy of the Precure, still got accepted by the Precures and is still friends with them, even after they found out about his secret.

Overall this is currently my favorite Precure (though I also haven't seen that many yet lol), and I do love both Mirai and Liko. I guess I'm both of them: On one hand I'm a bit shy like Liko, while on the other hand I'm really fascinated by magic and witches like Mirai.

Overall I'd recommend it to everyone who likes magic~!
