i went to the bank today to change my name and gender there (since i legal transitioned recently). and it was quite anxious.
not the changing part, since that was done in a few minutes (the person asked me a few questions, but nothing too bad). what was worse was after that they tried to sell me some products. first a credit card (i don't need one, even if it's so shiny and has so many features and is cheaper for students). and later a disability insurance.
Excuse me, but I'm still a student. Why would I need a disability insurance that I can't pay, since I don't work yet?
they then pushed me more with it with making an offer for me, which involved me involuntary having to share my height and weight (i tried saying no, but they wouldn't stop), and at the end pressuring me into making a new appointment so that i could sign the insurance (which i thankfully could somehow avoid).
i always said "i'll think about it", but now i'm still scared of them calling me to push me to make an appointment to sign an insurance... sigh
maybe i should switch my bank.
(like i just went there for a simple name change. why did they want me to sell insurance??? like i'm currently not interested in any kind of insurance. i just wanted to change my name. that's all.)
